Back on the east coast, we used Jeff’s apartment as a home base and visited other towns: *
Today we visited Positano Positano Positano! And we didn’t buy nearly enough stuff, apparently. After our siesta we went to Sorrento for the evening.
Four modes of transportation today: We woke up at about 4:15 AM to catch a €90 water taxi ride to the airport, where we took a 2-minute bus ride to the airplane. From Brindisi, Jeff drove us all to the west coast by way of Pompei. Our hotel was outside, or above, Sorrento.
Our first whole day in Italy! The afternoon before, we wandered around Venice more-or-less aimlessly up and down stairs, across bridges, and through 3-foot-wide alleys with some 70 lbs of luggage and a pregnant lady while trying to find the apartment we had rented. This day, however, was considerably more pleasant.
The garage looks a little nicer (and is more protected from salt and cracks) thanks to a coat of epoxy paint. And the nursery has a fresh coat of paint, a new chair rail, and a new mommy
