We’ve been expanding our palates (colors, food, and otherwise) this week. David sampled new foods, we did some gardening outside, and we enjoyed a lovely weekend. Some of us ran (very fast), some of us walked (also fast) and some of us are just learning to inch our way across the floor on our belly. Guess who is who…
Summer is officially here! Finally David gets to wear the cute little shorts outfits (before he outgrows them all!). We had record-breaking heat, a few temper tantrums, some heart-melting smiles, and sweet potatoes. Good thing it was a three day weekend…we had a lot to accomplish
David started the weekend by rolling over; now it’s impossible to keep the kid on his back, but he doesn’t know what to do with himself once he’s on his tummy… Emily and Christopher also moved around a bit this weekend, too; Christopher ran and Emily walked (with David attached) in the Ripple Run to benefit Joy’s House in Broad Ripple, and father and son spent a lot of quality time on the Monon Trail while Mommy a) got a massage and b) shopped at the Broad Ripple Art Fair. We’re still trying to decide who got the better end of that deal…
Welcome to the Flock, Little One! We were truly blessed to have grandparents, cousins, and good friends join us as David was baptized at Holy Spirit. The mood was very serious and devout all weekend. Clearly.
Emily and Chris ran the 30th annual Mini Marathon this weekend; David can’t even walk one step, let alone 13.1 miles! After that, they were might sore, but of course there was still lots of playing and eating to be done and photos to be taken. Is David ever a centerfold, or what?
We enjoyed some sun, the last of the April showers, and some ducks. But most of all, we enjoyed naps. SIX of them. Count ‘em: SIX naps. This was the best weekend ever!
The sun shone, the flowers were in bloom, the baby drooled all over his new Easter Ducky…what more could you ask for in a weekend? How about some honest-to-goodness laughter?
