A mid-week surprise! Tired of enduring ridicule from family members over his “flowing golden locks”, we finally took David to get his hair cut. Sniff. My baby’s getting so big!
What a weekend! We took great advantage of the beautiful warm, sunny weather this weekend. We played outside, tried not to get muddy, ate some yummy barbecue with the Kellers, and tried out some new wheels. And I would like to point out that there is not a single picture of David in his pajamas this weekend…the sun is great motivation for getting a move on and getting out of the house!
A party, a shower, and a trip to the pool…what a busy weekend! So many smiles (and a convenient meltdown in church) and some good belly laughs
What better way to spend an entire Saturday than driving three hours to spend two hours in the Kentucky state capital? At least the weather was beautiful, Emily met with some great people at the kentucky Historical Society (school project) and David enjoyed some outdoor playtime…and the riveting Kentucky Hall of Governors exhibit (several times, in fact).
Yet another round of friends willingly volunteer to witness to the David-ness of life, get dragged to the Children’s Museum on a Sunday afternoon, and remind us of how fortunate we are to have such wonderful, caring, enjoyable friends
Emily and David did another mother-and-son weekend, this time braving wintry weather and sub-par airline service to visit with Lois, Nana Fran, Nana, Cappy, and Aunt Sara in CT. Nana Fran said she “couldn’t wait to get her hands on him” and he charmed everyone, as expected…
16 inches of snow? Two days off work? A visit from Little E? We had a pretty fun week, but we’re ready for some springtime
I don’t want to hear it about there not being enough photos this week (or not getting them posted until Monday). Emily and David spent the weekend together while Chris was away, and a mommy only has so many hands with which to prevent things from going into the mouth, onto the floor, onto the dog, or out the car window.
So, we all spent a few days home sick this week, but nothing could stop us from spending Sunday evening lying on the couch in front of the Super Bowl…We can’t remember ever being so excited about a football game, but this town is buzzing! Oh, yeah. David was cute this week, too. Despite the shakes and shivers and the 24 straight hours in sweatpants, the week ended happily and with lots of smiles. Just ask us again in about two more hours, after the game, and we’ll have a final answer…
We spent most of the weekend cozied up inside, not doing a whole lot of anything except chasing David around. He had a rough week (five shots!) so he was pretty tired and spent quite a bit of time catching up on sleep. Sigh…if only Mommy and Daddy were so lucky…We did get to meet Samuel Hale, and it was amazing to remember that babies start out so small! Where has that little baby gone? Oh, right. He’s snuck off to the dining room to eat the jade plant and pull open all the doors on the china cabinet…
