While Grandma and Papa were here for Round Two, Emily and Chris headed downtown for the Mini Marathon. Thankfully, we were not blown away by the gale force winds that greeted us on a splendid 45-degree, cloudy morning. A nap, some beer, fries, and a burger later, and we ended our day happily.
Sunday was Mother's Day (did you remember to call?) and after an eggs Benedict-style brunch at home, Alice and Emily enjoyed several hours at a local winery, chatting and having fun talking about husbands and children. A relatively good (but long!) week gave way to a lovely weekend and a surprise party for Rob and Sara, the first of us to make it to their ten year anniversary. There was much laughing drinking, and merriment. Congratulations, you two, and thanks for the excuse to have our friends around the table with us
