Big Snow!

A relatively unexpected day home from work (not necessarily by choice) at least gave us a chance to take a few photos mid-week. 13 inches of snow prevented us from leaving the house on Wednesday (though it didn't stop us from trying) so we got to have a little playtime, some bug laughs, and even got some work done, too. I'd say we ought to have more snow days, but that would require more snow, and we do not need more snow right now
Sara sent a cake pan shaped like little vintage cars, so we tried it out with some cornbread. It probably wasn't quite what Williams-Sonoma had in mind, but it was fun and David and Chris argued over who got "the big car"
Just goofing around, not wearing pants
Ta-daa! David's wearing Big Boy Underpants!
We do a lot of laughing these days
"Getting healthy is not a waste." Getting wasted is not healthy, either, but Emily and Chris did last weekend at the first annual Indiana Microbrewers Winterfest. That was a lot of fun, up until the point that Emily came very close to telling some lady that "her big fat purse was in my way".
Since Emily got stuck trying to get out of the driveway on Wednesday morning, we got our cardio by shoveling the driveway and clearning ourselves out from under 13 inches of snow
Emily shoveled, too. For a few minutes, we actually fought over who got to use our one old shovel. We're so hard core we get cranky when we don't work out
He finally got the snow he's been wanting
We'd call it a snow angel, but it was really more of him maing a buttprint before he got stuck and had to be rescued from the backyard
We spent at least an hour ouside digging a trench from the front yard to the back yard, mowing the snow, and getting stuck. At least it wasn't one of those times when it took longer to get him dressed than it did to actually play outside. He made it worth the effort today
So much to eat, so little time
Yeah, a BMW doesn't do you much good when it's under a foot of snow and then blocked in when the plow comes around. But someday it'll look good again, don't worry. And maybe next time the owner will park it in the driveway when a winter storm comes through
He actually made it all the way to Ms. Rita's house (three streets over) pushing his lawn mower (or plowing the street, as he called it). Emily got to carry it back the rest of the way
Have a seat
So the bottom of his pants are caked in snow because his snow pants are two sizes too small and only go down to his knees. No complaints, though, and he kept smiling the entire time we were outside
So, our neighbor was out blowing snow off his driveway and decided to play around with another neighbor and her dog. He's not being a jerk by throwing snow on them; she actually asked him to spray the dog. It just stinks that a person has to be attached to the end of the dog's leash
Just in case a) Emily's neck was really cold or b)she didn't feel so much like breathing anymore, Beansprout decided to set up shop there
