Merry Christmas 2008

Nana and Cappy came for a visit, David turned three years old, and Santa stopped by with a sack full of Things With Wheels. We are so blessed by our family and our friends, and we wish you all a wonderful holiday!

Rawr! Check out the monster claws! Dude's fierce and ferocious
Granted, the Children's Museum is pretty cool on the inside, but have you seen how totally awesome all the construction is on the outside? The guys could have just gone and stood outside for free, and Charity wouldn't have had to get us the extra tickets (thanks for that, Charity, by the way)
This is how you keep a three-year-old entertained at a nice lunch restaurant: paper tablecloths and several jars of crayons
We ate lunch at Zest! Have you tried it? You should!
Gluttons for punshment: Mom and Dad try the Wii again. It was no less funny this time than it was when they bowled at the beach in August
Leaving cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve
In addition to lots of other wonderful gifts, Santa brought David a Big Boy Bike. We'll need to work on his form. (And Santa also apparently shops at the Gap...way to keep it magical, Mommy)
For $.99 at Target, the Mini Slinky seemed to be a big hit
At least the Mini Slinky was a hit until he opened up the RC dump truck from Aunt Sara and Uncle Kevin. Then all bets were off and we could not pry the remote out of his little hands
The dump truck plays some rock and roll music. Really loud. How nice
At this point he was literally twirling around with the remote, shouting, "Jump, shake your booty!" at the top of his lungs
He did pause for about 30 seconds to look for a cactus in the big activity books from Nana; this gave Chris a chance to un-screw more trucks from their boxes
Oh, yeah. I remember I got this bike, too. Can I play with the dump truck now?
With the exception of a few books and some clothes, nothing was unwrapped this morning that did not have wheels. Is it healthy that we encourage this kind of one-track mind, or should we be branching out more?
